Day-sheets... I know when I entered and I know that in the ammys (UPRA) that is when I will run...draw position is always up in the air though...but for some reason none of it seems quite real until you see your name on a day-sheet :)

They are great until the rodeo secretary gives all of her favorites the bestย days to run..LOLย

That would never happen.

Would it?

I guess when the Secretary lives and works for one of the competitors that always seems to be up on the nights she wants, maybe it was happening?

I don't know about now, but it sure did back in the day! And if you were a roughstock rider and didn't have an in with the stock contractor and they were only taking so many contestants - you would have a heck of a time calling in to enter.

In the UPRA you just call in and ask for the perf you want. If you call soon enough you get the one you want...if you want slack you have to wait for them to fill up. You know when you get off the phone what day you are up...there are no callbacks like in PRCA. The only thing you dont know is ground position...I can say that UPRA has been so fair to me...and I am a NOBODY...lol...different rodeo secretaries for each of the rodeos I have been to this year. Local entries to that particular rodeo that you are entering. This time entries were on a cell phone. It sucked. I called 72 times before I got in. I was forwarded to voicemail each time...and then it would ring "on the other line" but she was unable to pick up before voicemail. I have only had that happen once this year though...where they used a cell phone for entries instead of a main line. I really like the UPRA...the judges have been good to me when calling us out of order...my times have always been accurate...they pay really good and add a lot of money..usually more than most of PRCA circuit rodeos. I have had my WPRA membership on and off for 12 years and I'm sure I'll enter some pro rodeos this year...but UPRA is BY FAR the better and more convienant and more fair association to me.  Sometimes I hate that is considered an ammy association...as if the only pro association it the entire country ever has to PRCA. I can tell you that the last few UPRA ammy rodeos i went to were twice as tough as some of the pro rodeos I've entered. I know TCRA was considered ammy because they were only part of the year...but the UPRA rodeos are all year long...and they are tough tough.

Just for reference.......where can a person find the results and standings of the UPRA ? Do they have a Finals?

They have two finals. Their Stand United Finals which was what the TCRA rodeos were before UPRA merged with them and then as a whole the CINCH finals.
