| Wanting to know if you have tried acupuncture on your horse and what the results were? What led you to try it? Would you do it again, etc.? |

Location: Heart of Texas | Accupuncture saved my horses life. He fractured his back splint bone and was confined to a stall for 6 weeeks. Once that was over he could barely walk. His back hindlegs could barely extend 6 inches. My vet was at a loss. He said lets try accupuncture and if that doesn't work you'll have to take him to a place in colorado and it's gunna cost $$$$$$. Thank god the accupuncture worked! I probably would have had to put him down otherwise. Its been like 7 years since then and i've never had another issue. |

| Yes, amazing results, part of my regular routine now. Took one in with back so sore you could not touch him, my daughter had used the wrong saddle on him. 24 hours after acupuncture absolutely no soreness at all. Took another in that had quit sweating, 3 days after acupuncture he was in a full sweat.

| yes it is a excellent tool, as with anything else the person doing the treatment has to have the experience and knowledge to get good results. We have several in our area that are just doing it to make money and have not been trained so research who you use |

| I was skeptical at first. I had a cat the screwed up his back and had a hard time walking but vet did a series of treatments and he start walking normal again. I then knew it worked. I like to have my horses chiro and acupuncture together or same day helps with the adjustment! |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I believe it was what made the early difference in CC's recovery from a fractured stifle. Immediately after the first session I thought I had made the wrong decision, she was more stiff and seemed kind of lethargic but by the next morning I knew we had hit a home run. She had laid down for the first time in over 2 months to sleep, she actually could trot with no visible lameness. She had been so tight over the loin area and in her neck from holding and carrying herself compensating for the stifle. Had her acupunctured several more times over the next few months and by the end of that first month I was starting to hand walk her. We did have one set back from her feeling so good, she laid down and rolled and tried to get up on the bad side which set her back for a few days. |

| Have used acupuncture for years, on horses and humans. Alternative medicine, though not always easy to explain, does work. |

Tried acupuncture on my good mare as a last ditch to try to cure back soreness from an unknown cause (saddle fit, teeth good, no lameness- ect). Worked like a charm. That was 2 years ago. I have only had to do it one other time since then. I won't claim its a cure- all but I do believe it has a place. I will try it for general soreness after exploring tack, teeth and lameness from here on out.
Like most other practices, I'm sure the acupuncturists has a lot to do with it. |
