Silent Harmony and Dark Harmony by Michele Scott (they are part of a series but I can't remember the name of the series) and two totally off the wall books (if you liked Watership Down or Tailchaser's Song you will like these) The Heavenly Horse From the Outermost West, and Piper At The Gate by Mary Stanton

I've been reading "Cowgirl is a State of Mind" by Laurie Hartman on IBooks. It has gotten kind of confusing with so many characters to keep up with but over all, I've really liked it and I'm not a big book person.

Some of Nora Roberts' books have horses. She has a few series that involve horse racing and other things.
I'm writing one right now that I'm hoping I can list in a thread like this one day. Fairweather i'm looking yours up right now on amazon! And when is Kelly's coming out?  I remember when she was doing the contest last year.

Chuck Grieves has a couple of books that are good. Also C.J. Box, who is on the Cheyenne Frontier Days Board has some terrific novels. Not specifically about horses, but they are usually a part of the story. Of course you can't beat Dick Francis. Awesome stories & his knowledge of horses is amazing.

Bred to Win by William Kinsolving. It is a really good novel, more about a woman in the racing industry falling in love with the wrong person. Goes through her whole life. I couldnt put it down.

Wild Ride; The Rise and Tragic Fall of Calumet Farm by Ann Hagerdorn Auerbach. It's a really great read and very well written. It definetly makes you wonder how Alydar REALLY died.

Here's a description of my book, Lost Betrayal -
THE FUTURE OF THE RANCH HANGS IN THE BALANCE Sage is just getting her life back together when a tornado touches down and destroys her family ranch in northern Georgia taking her hopes, her dreams and the very horse that the ranch’s future hinges on. An ex rodeo cowboy with a past, Garrett has sworn off rodeo and the last thing he needs is entanglement with a woman on a wild horse chase but there’s too many unanswered questions, such as how a horse could stay gone so long. Refusing to believe her horse was killed in the storm and refusing to give up on the ranch, Sage begins the journey of rebuilding her life once again and searching for the horse that to her, holds the past and her future. Sordid secrets and malicious betrayal jeopardize her efforts. Is she strong enough to push past the hurt and the lies in order to get back all she holds dear?

Here's a review -Β

. I loved this book. I could tell the author knew what she was writing about--horses, ranching--and I'd venture to guess that she may have been closer to a tornado than I'd want to be!There was so much substance and reality in the storyline. The "hero" was such a nice man, the heroine fiesty and strong. There was just enough romance and sex to keep it interesting, but it wasn't the main theme of the book and you didn't find it on every other page. There were gritty times, unsavory charactors, also a charactor who had two sons and while I didn't like some of the things he did, I liked him as a parent. There was betrayal, and loving support. In many ways the conclusion was bittersweet, but fitting to the story line.
This is more than just a cowgirl story-I'm betting my husband will like this one too!

This book was awesome!!!!

It's avail now.  I won an award and its an Amazon Best Seller.  If you look at Elle Marlow's page on Amazon there's about  6 books to choose from. <3
