I know Texas Tornado posted on upward fixation of the patella this last week...but I have a yearling who out of the blue started having her stifle lock up this morning.  It was locking up bad and when she finally got it loose it pops but kept going back to locking up after she'd stand for a minute.  It seems painful to her but I don't see any obvious swelling.  She's turned out all day and stalled at night.  Thinking I may switch stalls so she gets the one with the paddock for now so she can move around 24/7.

My question is could it potentially be OCD as well?  I'm going to get her to the vet but was curious on others experiences until my appointment.

Sounds like she is going through a growth spurt and she should be turned out 24/7. No reason to keep her stalled unless the weather is really bad but since you are down south, leave her out. Don't think you have to worry about OCD.

I agree.  I would leave her turned out 24/7.

Sounds like weak stifles turnout to self exercise would be good
