Location: Texas | So the standard patter thread got me thinking... Where do you set the barrels? On the inside of the stake or outside? I'm assuming everyone centers it.. Most places I go have the lasers now but plenty of places still use stakes and I've actually seen people reset barrels and not set them the same.. With all the things we pay attention to in barrel racing i'm just surprised more people don't watch this, or maybe they do and I just haven't noticed  |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Here we set the barrels to the inside of the stakes, and we have people that watch the barrels being reset so that there wont be any boo-boos of setting the barrels in the wrong place. |

so do we, they're called the fans.................haha Barrels when measured here are set to the inside of the stake, when lasered, in the middle. |

Yep the fans watch the barrels like a Hawk here, LOL, and they sure will let you know if the barrel is sitting in the wrong place real fast.. |

I think if you look at the jackpots in north Texas - you'll find that they are set to the inside of the stakes. I've never seen anyone center them on the stakes except rodeos. |

Location: LuluLand~along I64 Indiana | we set ours on the inside of the stake. i noticed at the north american they were set to the outside of the stakes. as long as the setters do it the same everytime it shouldnt make a difference. |
