So I've been researching all the calming products (In the Zone, Pozzi Relax, THE, etc) but my horse is not "hot" at all.  In fact, he's incredibly lazy under normal conditions.  But, I have noticed he gets some anxiety before a run...I can feel him getting tense and he sometimes balks going in the arena.  Yes, he's been vetted and we had issues corrected and he has a clean bill of health now.  I know some of his anxiety stems from that but I'm thinking I can try giving himself something to help.  Any suggestions?

My horse sounds very similar. I was on lookout as well. I tried OXY Jailbreak but I couldn't time it right for the 1 1/2 hour prior. If it's not a predraw you could be an hour out or right away. Couldn't get it. THe last time I ran him I fed him some alfalfa pellets about a half hour before the race started. someone mentioned it on here in another post. Really seemed to help.

Cur-OST Adapt & Calm is what I use.  My horse is laaaaazzzzzzy at home, like you have to peddle him for every step he takes.  When you hook the truck to the trailer he becomes a different horse before you even move it.  Stress is a big trigger for him with the other issues we've dealt with in the past as well, as stress itself creates inflammation and can contribute other other issues already present to worsen.  I have a very strict schedule and feed my horse his "mix" 4 - 6 hours out from a run and it has made all the difference in the world for him.  I feed him this product daily, it's very affordable, and it doesn't make him drowsy or dead, just helps him cope with the stress.  I couple it with the Total Support as well so that all of the issues created from stress and hauling are controlled as well.  These two things with a whole grain/alfalfa diet have worked wonders for my horse in more areas than just anxiety.
