The full
position, 7/8, 3/4, or 5/8? I've always gone with 7/8 to 3/4 but lately I'm seeing more saddles with the full
position. Anyone ride with a full
position rigging? How is it different than the others?
If no one knows what I'm talking about here's a reference site.

It will depend on how the saddle fits the horse. Some shoulders are long and angled placing the withers different. I don't like the full or 7/8
positions as they will pull the saddle back and down in front. They are more for roping and should have a back cinch. I like for a barrel horse to be
positioned at 3/4. I feel it helps keep the saddle well balanced without the need of a front cinch. The back of the saddle doesn't pitch in this
position. The riggings where you can go from 7/8 to 3/4 are great.
