What does it mean?
What does it consist of?
I'm guessing huge earners or top of the line names?

Black type refers to stakes winners. I could be wrong but if it says Stakes Winner it is referring to an unlisted stakes race. If it says STAKES WINNER it refers to a Grade I, II or III race with I being the best. I have no idea what purple type pedigrees are referring to.
Stakes winners or stakes placed.

All upper case BOLD type means they are a graded stakes winner.
Normal type that is Bold means they are stakes placed
(they ran second or third
).
Money doesn't have anything to do with it as far as earnings go. The bigger the pot the tougher the grading. But a horse can earn BOLD type if they win a graded race that pays $20,000 to win just the same as if the win a graded race that pays $1million. You have Grades 1, 2 and 3.
We sold a colt that is Stakes Placed and he's won $185,000. We've also had STAKES WINNERS of $34,000, lol!

I've never heard of purple type. I'm also not sure what the black type rules are when it comes to the show world
(if they even have black type
).

Found this:
"Bred in the purple" is flowery language for a horse that has "royal" breeding.
The origin of the phrase comes from the fact that long ago, the wearing of purple robes was restricted to reigning monarchs or members of the royal family. Commoners who wore purple, assuming they could afford it
(natural purple dyes were very expensive
), were subject to punishment.
So "bred in the purple," means "royally bred"-- i.e., in horses, champions in the pedigree.

Ok people
It means simply they are royally bred with top and bottom being producers or winners .... u no kinda like purple is the color of royalty
and you will see certain mares called a BLUE HEN MARE ... who produced very high quality winning foals and her daughters and granddaughters continue to do so too ... so don't go looking for a blue mare with tail feathers ... lol
