My gelding is 12 years old, I bought him a little over a year ago, on his Pre purchase exam he was as sound as they come, no health problems at all. The past couple of runs he just hasn't been the same, he doesn't feel like he's firing. He's 1/2D proven super show horse, can place in the 2D with bobbles. He sees the chiropractor every 3 month, has had his yearly "check up", dental work done, custom fitting saddle ect ect... He is on the same suplements, feed ect...

Does anyone have any ideas what I can do, or what it may be?
Could it be the weather and winter? Maybe I'm Not riding him enough or riding too much...
I've considered trading the flair strips, oxygen products ect ect... But don't know whitch was to go

If he was mine, I'd have him scoped for bleeding. Maybe you've already done that, but if not I'd check that just to rule it out. I had a bleeder and he was that way, just wouldn't fire. Good luck with him, he sounds nice!

Could be a DDFT issue. Have you put hoof testers on him? Bleeding could also be the problem. Anemia is another one. Those 3 would be where I would start. Hoof testers, flexion and reverse flexion tests, pull blood and scope.

With what you have said it could be anything. Ulcers can form quickly, kissing spines, hocks stifles, about anything.
