Well, it's official.... I sold Duncan... it hasn't sunk in yet and when it does I know it will not be pretty. He will be leaving for him new home within the next couple of weeks.

Many, many hugs to you, my friend!  I'm happy for you and sad at the same time, as I know you are.  Best of luck to Duncan's new owners and may he, and them, achieve all of their dreams together.

I am sorry. I know how much he meant to you.  If it's any consolation I've let some go I never dreamed I would, but if you are like me, you will enjoy seeing his success with others!

If he is your once in a lifetime horse why did you sell him??Β

We are making some decisions that will hopefully take us to a new state in the next 6 months. Yes, he is my once in a lifetime horse, but I made a grown up decision to put my family in front of my horse. He will make his new owner very happy. He's a stallion and they will show him and promote him and he will be crossed on their cow bred mares. He will be used on a ranch every day.

Thank you. He's gotten me through some very tough life decisions and we will have two foals by him in April. I may end up keeping one or both of them.

Sorry you had to make that hard decision, but you are right - family first. However you found him a great home where he will be happy. I hope you take comfort in that fact. Hugs to you.

***HUGS*** I know what it's like to sell when you don't want too. I am without a horse for the first time in about 25 years. It's for the best though and it opens the door for new opportunities. Good luck in your new adventures!
