| So of course my professor wants us to look up our name and the meaning of it. Some may find out that their name means joy, strong, victorious, ect but all I find is my name means a abbreviation for Carol or Caroline. That's the only consistent finding and every other site shows different meanings. I really don't want to feel like a idiot when I stand up in class tomorrow only to tell everyone that my name meaning is a abbreviation. :/ |

Years ago when John Riker had Westenhook Farm in CT they used a baby book for the first name and used the last name of WEST and then RIKER for years ...
With Lyn Palm as a trainer in her younger years they were top dogs in producing ROM earners and AQHA Champions. Lyn Palm added to her fame as the trainer of Rugged Lark ..
I bought an AQHA CHAMPION stallion from them back in the 1970's named ANTHONY WEST ...
I put him on some business cards as a standing stallion ad ... and you would not believe the mail he received trying to sell him cars, tractors, life insurance etc etc ... lol ..
Just a couple of months ago ... I got a letter from Direct TV addressed to him to sign up for a tv satellite disk .. lol http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/anthony+west .... His ability to sire ROM's in WP, Hunter Hack and HUS was phenomenal !!!
I loved the Riker barn ... it was round ... stalls all along the outside perimeter and stud stalls and office in the center of the donut ... they could use the round alleyway to exercise their horses when the weather was really bad ... it makes me wonder if it is still standing today ...

I've looked at several baby name sites and they all have different meanings. I guess I could use the meaning of Caroline, but just feel weird using it cause its not my name. Lol |

| So I found that Carrie is the abbreviation of Caroline or Carol (which I already knew) and the masculine (sp) for that is Charles which means manly. Hmmm lol |
