Location: New Mexico | Planning on going to Oklahoma City for BBR finals for the first time.... Staying in the trailer Any hints suggestions about anything would be great! Cement stalls? Do you rent the extra stall for a tack room? Do you need wheel barrows for stalls? Any thing you can think of.... Thanks to all |

 Don't Wanna Make This Awkward

Location: Texas | I don't rent a stall for tack I usually just put my saddle in the truck and bring it up there. I also never bring a wheel barrow but I have a bin that I bring to all overnight races to move manure from the stall. The stalls are concrete I think in all the barns. I've been in the main barn and barn 8 and I know those were always concrete. There are round pens you can turn your horse out in though. I would definitley rent mats if you don't already have some. Don't forget a health certificate, those have to be recent within 30 days to be valid. Get the early if you want an RV spot, it gets very tight in the hook up area. I've always had a hotel but it stresses me out just looking at that tiny little area with all the huge trailers in it lol |

Location: run2win land | Stalls are on concrete. I ended up using company that puts mats in stalls for a price. That many days, my horses needed the cushion. RV spots are first come first serve. They open up the facility at midnight and there is a rush to get spots. RV park is quite a ways away from the barn area so many people rent golf carts. extra stall for feed and tack is a good idea unless you get golf cart. Finals are a blast! |

Location: Texas | Last year was my first year to go. I would do the mats or I bought Soft Rides to help. Bring plenty of shavings. I brought a wagon with me to get everything from my trailer to stall during unloading. They also have people to help during this time. I don't care to be in the RV section. Very packed. I stayed way awayin the parking areas and used my generator as needed. The only thing I would change from last year is I would rent a golf cart this year instead of driving my truck back and forth. |

Location: Oklahoma | There are a couple of showers in the RV park.... But nothing fancy.... You have to constantly push the knob to get water as it only runs for a few seconds at a time.
Can't comment on golf carts since I've never ran at the Finals, but if you can't get a golf cart I would highly suggest a tack stall. The RV park is a good ways away, but it's not too terribly far from the parking lots that are behind the barns if you plan on running a generator. |

| Since the stalls don't have tops, I would think it would be VERY easy for someone to jump in and take a saddle. A tack stall is an awful lot of money for not very much security - although it sure would be handy but I never got one for this reason.

Location: run2win land | The golf carts are available on site but I would see if they need to be reserved ahead of time. There is also a store at facility that has shavings and hay. I found I needed to constantly replenish shavings each day to keep them padded. I would not keep my tack in a stall because of it being open but for feed, yes it works. |

Location: Tulsa, Ok | In addition to the showers in the RV park there are some showers in the super barn and also at least one of the other barns.
After the witch fest in the middle of the night last year when people began to jockey for parking spots in the RV park, I am pretty sure I will opt for one of the parking lots and my generator!! |

Location: New Mexico | so when do they start allowing people in the RV place? ....for those who park behind the barns and use their generator.....do they have a dump station? I was thinking about a extra stall for tack, but if they are open in the top and lack of security, now I am not sure. What about stall matts, I hear they can be rented...are they pretty good?. I have some I can take, but would be nice to not mess with them...Thanks far all the help |

| I don't think there's a dump station even at the RV campground but it's been several years since I've been there. I sure wouldn't put my saddle in an open-topped stall but I see a lot of folks who do. OKC fairgrounds is pretty famous for people getting stuff stolen so I just wouldn't chance it. |

Location: Tulsa, Ok | There is a dump station in the RV park on the side where the shower house is. Barns open at midnight, but I believe you can move in the RV park whenever you want. When people get finished unloading at the barns the RV park becomes a major clusterflock with people trying to get parked and some people trying to save spaces for their friends. It can get ugly!!! |
