Location: Buffalo, TX | HEADS UP!...I HATE SCAMMERS.....If you are looking on Craigslist for a horse trailer, these people who put ads on under the name ushorsetrailer.com are SCAMMERS!
I had a customer come in today looking for a trailer they saw on Craigslist that I had sold months ago, so I looked up the ad, and it had a link that said Trailer Depot at the end but it directed them to THEIR WEBSITE! I do not advertise on Craigslist, only on Horse Trailer World. I am trying to identify them, but no contact info. So far, all I have is Paul M.
They do have a facebook page, but I'm not a facebook person. April, my business partner is going to put something on their facebook page. If you want to follow suit, be my guest to get rid of these scammers and help save some horse person from losing their money.
They copy ads from Horse Trailer World and put them on Craigslist under their name. I'm sure it's the normal scam that when you contact them (by e-mail only, they have no phone listed), they want a deposit for the trailer and then they can't be tracked after that.
I haven't had time to look in different areas on Craigslist, but I'm sure they are putting them all over the USA. Anyway...BEWARE! |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | Thanks for the heads up. I hope people read your post as it's easy for some people to get sucked in when they find that deal that is too good to pass up. |

Location: Buffalo, TX | I sent them an e-mail and they actually called me! They are out of Minnesota (Paul M?)....they said it was their way of getting dealers to sign up with them...I called BS on that. There's no way they are helping dealers by copying ads (of sold trailers) onto Craigslist without the dealer's knowledge or consent. They wanted me to know they were not asking for deposits on the trailers, but they took my trailers off Craigslist right away. It's funny that the ads were on Craigslist but not on their site...anyway, I still say beware of them, no legitimate business operates in that manner... |

Location: Buffalo, TX | Dave e-mailed me this morning and these people not only fish for horse trailers to list that direct buyers to their e-mail, but they also do it with other high end products and services...they really ripped Horse Trailer World to me and I let them have it with both barrels, so beware, they are not what they seem...for sure, don't send them any money!!! |
