classicpotatochip - 2016-02-15 4:58 PM I have a son of Royal Blue Chew Chew that I adore. He does get a little tight and want to get jumpy, but it's only because he wants to please so badly. He absolutely loves to run barrels. He hunts first like none other I've been on. He has zero pain tolerance, and gets ulcers quick if he's sore anywhere. He loves people and is very bonded up with me. He loves when I stand with him and just pet on him, he'll come over when I'm sitting and put his nose in my lap to be loved on. He's extremely fast and clocks without even seeming to, and is very long strided. The key to him has been to be very empathetic, respectful, and kind to him, and he's happy and ready to work. He doesn't take getting in trouble without getting rattled, and was easy to train because he tries so hard. I'm sorry that the stud died, I would've loved to breed my good mare and try for another Rio. :)

His registered name is ML Magic, and his barn name is Rio (for the blue parrot, because my Rio is both a crybaby and a mamas boy like the bird on the movie)

Location: Silver Lake, MN | Love to see all the Royal Blue Chew Chews!!! He was just a cool dude, I believe he went over to Brazil? I loved the fact they rode him in the off season, there are not many horses that run until they are 7yo and retire sound. | |
