It was a quick fix and she got a few runs out of her with it but didn't work for long and the mare went to hitting again. The mechanics on it are more so it doesn't jerk on the horses moving when you touch it like a snaffle. It's supposed to slide

	You could not pay me to use a shank that long with a curb stocking stuffer the cheek. The reason the mare stated above stopped dropping shoulders for a while is because the gag affect is what causes "lift" In a horse. Then she learned how to evade it again... Something that can be fixed by retraining through a snaffle. I'm a firm believer that more "intense bits" are never the solution, they're an excuse. ETA I just read this after typing it on my phone and realize it said "curb stocking stuffer" and laughed too hard so now I can't delete it. Edited by achildres 2016-02-17 5:00 PM

Mare in my profile picture would be straight as a board if she didn't have gag action. This looks like it would be too much for her, but I like the idea of it.
