With God all things are possible Posts: 3917	Psalm 140:1-13 Deliver me O Lord, from evil men; Perserve me from violent men, who plan evil things in their hearts; they continually gather for war. 4 Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked 7 O God The Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle. 13 Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence. Maybe you have heard the story of the little boy who had been constantly misbehaving in church. Finally, his father snatched him up and hurried him out to receive his punishment. No one really paid any attention until the little boy cried out, " Y'all pray for me now!" In times of trouble, it seems that our first instinct is to pray. In fact, some people treat God like they would a trial attorney. They only go to Him when they are in trouble. But the reality is that this world is a wicked and violent place. There is trouble and pain around us. We must be faithful in coming to the Father in prayer. David cried out to God in time of distress. he asked The Lord to protect him from " evil" and " violent" men. Many scholars believe that David wrote this psalm while he was an official in King Saul's court, when some of Saul's officers were spreading lies and setting traps for David. The Bible tells us that our enemy is a liar and deceiver. God's people face the same problems today that David encountered. In times of distress, and at all times, run to God in prayer. The more praying there is in this world the better the world will be, the nighter the forces against evil everywhere . For it is WITH God all things are possible.
