Location: God's country | We have 3 yearlings that were born on our place. They have been fed ultium growth from day one. They look amazing! This feed is expensive but I love how ours look and think it's worth the money. |

We have 3 yearlings that were born on our place. They have been fed ultium growth from day one. They look amazing! This feed is expensive but I love how ours look and think it's worth the money.
It is per bag, but I think you actually feed very little to get the nice results. I just can't fathom feeding a baby a ton of processed grain.  |

| The sugar in the ultium made me a bit nervous, but my filly doesn't seem too happy with the bland taste of the Jr glow. So I think ultium it is, she will only be getting small amounts so hopefully the sugar won't make too much of a difference. She is on pasture 24/7 with access to a grass round bale as well. She is 3 but still growing, and having a major growth spurt at the moment. Once she is finished we will be most likely switching to just the ultium. Thanks for the input. |

Ditto. I used to feed it and recommend it to everyone, but I will never support them again. |

In a nutshell, several horses died after consuming contaminated feed and ADM flat refused to accept any responsibility or offer any compensation. They basically said that they have procedures in place to prevent contamination of horse feeds, but admit that there could be trace amounts of monensin found, but in safe levels. In reality there is NO safe level of monensin that a horse can consume. They don't see anything wrong with their manufacturing process despite evidence that it isn't safe.

Location: North Dakota | I would not feed either but if you are set on it, at least Ultium won't kill your horse. With ADM they've done it before, lied about it, and apparently have nothing to change. |

| I won't feed anything any more that is not processed in a clean and safe mill. I feed Tribute now and I have to order it online or I feed LMF but it is a western US feed so on available in limited areas. If I had to pick between those two it would be the purina . I love adding the muscle mass to the feed. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | Ultium Growth is an excellent feed. Ours look amazing on it, even during weaning. They don't drop hardly any weight at all or get the yucky hay/worm belly that some late weanlings have. We don't feed full recommended amount but about half with excellent quality hay/pasture. Plus Purina feed is clean of anything that might affect them, clean plants, no cattle antibiotics to poison them, unlike ADM. |

Location: wherever my gypsy soul lands | Ultium Growth all the way. Price per bag is expensive but absolutely worth it. Purina does offer a frequent buyer program of buy 8 get 1 which helps out some. Every penny counts. Grass hay and Ultium Growth are all my yearling gets and he is a monster. He is a late May foal and at last check(March) was 14.2 and 800 lbs. Solid, solid, solid!
