Location: Bastrop, TX | What pad do you guys recommend under a Double J that has the padding not fleece. Its like the intimidator. I have tried a 3/4" and a 1/2" fleece pad with a wool blanket and the half inch felt better than the 3/4. I had to use a blanket that was not folded double. Saddle would not stay tight after riding and recinching. Any tighter he couldnt breathe. Lol Saddle fits him and me perfect. Just need to find perfect pad.
Its feeling or seeming like thinner the better. Have a Back on Track liner too but havent it with this saddle yet.
Thanks for any input. |

Well they also have a 1/2 inch and yes they do not slide, theres grip for sure and they form to your horses back. |

| I love a 1/2" 5 Star under a well fitting saddle to run barrels in. I dislike liners as I feel they make my saddles less stable and more prone to slipping or rolling. I can consistently cinch less with no slipping or rolling in a 5 star than I can any other pad I have. |

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | I just had a saddle pad custom made for my mare with pressure relief, flex plates, and built in shims, based on her back. It is fabulous! I also use a Double J with the foam underneath, its The Duke.
The Right Fit saddle fitting is who I ordered it through. |

| I had a CSI that did not fit well with my Double J. I now have a Navajo/Fleece ESP that I love with it. |
