Β the only change I have made over the last 4-6 weeks is put him on ppcj. Could it make a horse sassy?Β

He has never given me attitude and I'm wondering if its the ppcj making him act like that?Β

or coincidence?Β

I believe so. I put my horse on regular platinum. It made him very mean and aggressive.

Regular Platinum Performance made 2 of my 3 horses hot.  They did feel good, but they couldn't concentrate and were super hot.  They were on it for 9 months, so I did give it a fair try.  I took all off of it and the two hot ones settled down in a couple of weeks.  If they feel TOO good, you can't get anything done.

Yeah I'm taking him off it. I've had him since December and he's never given me this type of attitude before. I ignored the behavior because that's not normal for him.

Vitalize High Performance. 125.00 for a 50 lb bag. Very affordable. They only thing you would need to add is a joint supplement.

We've had horses get hot on the platinum as well. You couldn't stand to be around them. We stopped it.

Oh heck yes! 2 scoops (recommended dose) was WAY WAY too much for my horse, turned him into a lunatic. He felt like I was riding a big spring and any moment it was going to let loose.  Cut the dose in half and he's much better and I'm still seeing results so I'll keep him on it. He still has plenty of fire, but it's manageable and I don't feel like I've got to ride him down to get to business.

lol exactly what it felt like riding him! haha. well in order to get the joint benefits I would need to feed the 2 scoops so I am going to order a different supplement today. I'm going to get just a joint supplement. I already feed good hay and he loves alfalfa or timothy pellets and safe choice, so I don't feel like I really need the rest of the ingredients plus its really expensive.

hopefully the PPCJ wears off this week lol! so I can get back to riding my normal horse!

yes I had the same problem with just the regular platinum. Made my barrel horse so hot he couldn't focus, he literally ran past the first barrel and into the fence because all could think was run, so I swapped to forco, formula 1 blue label and never had that problem again

I've heard this about Platinum on multiple occasions! One product that compares/competes with Platinum that has never made any of mine hot is Core Balance. I love their products and learned about them in the cutting horse world.
I have one with a liver issue who requires very gentle supplements and she is on the Equine Natural Care herbs. I'm a big believer in those as well.

I have my horse on platinum CJ. He was acting hot and naughty. I thought was the platinum but turns out he had ulcers. After ulcer treatment a completely different horse.
