| at the farm where my husband works they got 3 inches of rain in an hour but as far as I know in our area that is the worse that hit us  |

| The storms missed us, haven't heard about damage from those around us. Scott City had a tornado earlier today, 2 in Dodge City a short time ago. A suspected tornado near Kismet, and possibly another one north of Dodge. The news is only updating during commercials, so I'll see what they say in a few minutes.
Well, the update was basically that there could be a tornado in any of the storms, along with hail. We've been out baling hay all day and could see the storms around us, but didn't realize how bad they were.
Confirmed tornado near Ness City. Tornado possible SE of Sublette, north of Jetmore, near Mullinville, Centerview. Stay safe Kansans!

| We didn't get tornadoes just TONS of rain. My barn is totally flooded and I had to search a different route to get to work today due to a lot of the roads being flooded. I hate to curse the rain because I'm afraid it will stop and won't start again but my ponies need flippers! |

| MORE tornadoes last night in Kansas - almost hit the town where I went to high school - Chapman, that would have been the second time in 8 years. The last one pretty much flattened most of the town. I guess 20 homes were destroyed in last night's storm. They said it was a half-mile wide. |
