I just started to work with leather & beading, so I decided to make a bronc hatler. After a bit of trail & error, this is what I finally finished.

Let me know what ya'll think! *pictures being added (slowly)*

Wow I love it!!! I've been trying to bead myself, but just can't get it figured out. Are you using size 11/0 beads?

Thank you! My fiance was watching me bead one night & all he could say was "what kind of witch craft is that?" HAHA he couldn't handle all the beads!

& yes I use the size 11 Delica by Miyuki they are smaller than average size 11 but are all the same size (unlike the first sead beads I orederd). The "delica" just means that they have a squared edge (like a PVC pipe) vs a rounded edge. Also are you using a bead loom?

I ordered a loom off ebay, nothing fancy just has the wood rollers at the end. I've been using some seed beads I bought at the craft store, which are definitely not the same size which makes it harder to bead, so I'm not making much progress lol

It's funny, for a split little second I was gonna ask how much you'd charge to custom make one for me and then remembered I have no horse right now...

It definitely helps to have the beads all be the same size. The first ones I bought off Amazon were all size 11; but they were all over the place! Now THAT was frustrating. It was a breath of fresh air once I got the Miyuki beads. Their size 11 is super tiny though... size 8 would probably be the other brand size 11. They have a size chart online if you google Miyuki beads.

LOL! Well if it makes you feel better, I haven't taken any custom orders yet. It takes me forever to finish something, so I wouldn't have any ideas of the time limit. I had made a few purses here & there, but I like horse tack more (of course it's a way bigger pain in the rear). I made a belt once, now I think I want to try a dog collar or something like that next!

Lol!! Hey, that seems like a much better way to use your time than tv! I used to make conchos and while I enjoyed the outcome and all the prettiness, I usually had a headache after a few hrs of working on it. Lol!

Haha, sometimes I still cheat & watch netflix. Otherwise I'll stay up doing something until 4AM & not even realize it. I definitely get you on the headache part, too much detail work can be exhausting! It has given me more appreciation for custom/handmade anything.
