| Interested in a new 3500 ram. Can be the tradesman package. Just wanting to get the best deal for the money. Seems they have increased quite a bit in the past six months. Thanks |

| Greenville TX Dodge dealership smoked 14 other dealerships on my new 3500 dually. They haven't increased much since five years ago, actually, you just have to know where to look and how to hammer them down.
Make sure you get the AISIN transmission and .373 rear end. Pulls like a dream. Completely worth the extra $. |

What's your advice on how to do that? My husband hates negotiating so I'll be the one doing it. Wanting to get best deal we can and willing to travel for it. Thanks |

Location: south central usa | two dealerships in central AR...red river dodge in heber springs has about 70 duallies in stock or superior dodge in Conway...about the only two dealerships in the state that want the heavy duty business...they both really fight for business...check the rebates b/c there was an extra $1000 off if buying a tradesman, but it may have expired by now. do not settle for less than $10k off. recently bought a 2016 tradesman dually and I got almost $11k off sticker (also had a $500 farm rebate). places like Bonham (in texas) advertise good deals, but they wont come off their internet price (which changes on a weekly basis depending on how their sales are going....and I'd say on average - they go up about $1k/year. everything from the base price of the truck to the options increase incrementally even throughout the same model year (meaning you can have two trucks spec'd out identically and they will be priced differently due to when they were built - a 2016 built in Nov 2015 will be cheaper than a 2016 built in August 2016.....

Location: The edge of no where | Blake Fulenwider in Eastland TX is by far the best I've ever dealt with. Call Dave Smith 325-370-0094 - he understands heavy trucks inside out. |

Thanks- good to know. I am perfectly satisfied with a tradesman and actually don't want the dually. I just noticed last winter I could get something new in SD for low thirties (Crew cab Tradesman 3500 w/cummins) and now they are just over forty. Thought it might have to do with the economy and so many oil people being laid off (decreasing the volume they sell). I am really happy to hear you say to fight for $10k off and that it's possible. I don't have a trade so hoping I have more room to move on the price. I've never bought new so no idea what to expect. Any words of wisdom on something used just coming off lease with really low miles? Thanks. |

Location: Spokompton, Wa | Not sure where you are at, but definitely Dave Smith in Kellogg Idaho. They will ship it. The sticker on our 14 Ram 2500 Diesel was $57K. They sold it to us for $47K. They deal in volumes, so they barely mark their vehicles up to get more out the door.
They are really awesome to work with. Easy because the prices is already at "wholesale" so there is no haggling. |

Thanks I'll check into that as well. We are in the Midwest but will travel for the right deal. The sights on the way home are just a bonus! |

...only thoughts on that are...how do most people treat rentals?
I'd view a lease vehicle the same way. although most large companies will maintain their vehicles well..the new diesels can be impacted by minor abuse more so than the older ones (due to electronics/emissions/etc) any dealer worth their salt can give you a comparable deal to one of the larger dealers mentioned above, its just a matter of will they. I looked at used diesels for over a year and yes you can get them for $10-15k less than what you can buy a new one for ($20-25k less than sticker)...but one that is a few years old with less than 50k miles is only $4-5k less than a comparably equipped new one can be bought for...that fact coupled with full warranty on a new one swung me towards buying new.
no matter if you go new or used --- the cab/chassis models are de-tuned slightly as most of them are fleet vehicles (companies don't want workers hot rodding them) I'd rather have a regular dually with the bed removed and a flat bed added than buy a cab/chassis |

| Not sure where you live but I am in Tahlequah, OK (60 miles east of Tulsa, OK) at TOMMY NIX AUTO GROUP. We are a new Chevy, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram store. If we don't have what you are looking for we can get it. Depending on where you live there is extra rebates on the Tradesman package right now if you have a business or farm tax exempt ID.
Our website is www.nixchryslerdodgejeepram.com
If you happen to be going to the Bonus Race Finals this weekend I would love to meet up and talk about what you are looking for! |

| One thing to think about. Rebates go off of your address and zip code not where you buy the truck. Most rebates are eligible everywhere there are just odd ball rebates every now and then. Also if you happen to be from California make sure the truck will pass the regulations before you buy. |

I have heard mupltiple horror stories about a lack of customer service after the sale from both of these places. If I were buying in AR, I would buy from Hagans Dodge in Morrilton. Their customer service is second to none. The OWNER offered to come get me and my horses on a Sunday when I had truck problems. Their prices are actually very competitive as well. They don't spend a fortune on advertising that they have to make back elsewhere.
I've also heard good things about Bailey Motors in Okmulgee, OK |
