Anybody have a suggestison or opinion on the best boot to put on a barefoot horse for riding?  I can't put shoes on my horse right now but need to keep him legged up.  He is flat footed and fine unless we get on rocks.  Thanks

The Best riding/hoof boots are Renegade "renegadehoofboots.com".  They don't fill with dirt and are easy off/on.  Absolutely the Best!

If you want something that's economical, but lasts pretty good, I use Cavallo's. I know there's "better" ones on the market, but I've been using my pair for years and I do a lot of logging roads, water, etc. and they have held up really well. I oil them periodically and I wash them after almost every use (every time if they are muddy or have nettles in them).

This is a very good thread. My big boy grass founder, so bought him Softrides untill he gets over being sore, and can use them when I haul. But was wondering about boots for him when I do start riding him again, got lots of good ideals now Thanks guys

I was looking at the Cavallos, which boots are you using? I see that theres different types to choose from.
