Can someone point me in the right direction as to where to test my mare for both genetics and color? Through AQHA or elsewhere? Rookie to this. Googled it and found a few different options and just need a guiding hand.

AQHA will only use testing results from US Davis, so if you are going to need them at anytime for their records you will need to US Davis. You can go line to US Davis & order them there or you can go through AQHA. AQHA gives you a little discount if you do DNA & 5 panel testing at the same time  

What crossspur said is spot on. I had one done earlier this year because she’s a weird color and peoplekept asking and I was curious

UC Davis is the place to go.
