| My new mare has trouble focusing. She has tons of energy all the time and when I work her the only time she is calm is when she is winded. As soon as she gets a minute to catch her breath she's ready to go again. If I ask her to stand, she paws. But on the flip side she will stand all day on the cross ties (Not calmly, but she will stand there lol) If I'm walking her to cool her off, she's throwing her head in the air because I won't let her go faster. Occasionally she spooks at things she's seen a million times but her favorite thing to do (which drives me nuts) is scream for her buddies until they respond. And it's LOUD. She just is NOT focused.
She is ten and came with a cow horse/Reiner background. Any suggestions to help her focus would be great!! Please and thank you!! |

Location: Texas | I'm not a huge supplement person, but I really believe THE works. It's pretty much the only supplement I buy these days. I had my one mare on THE calming powder for a good while, then switched her to the performance blend and added calming to that and it works for her. But I would try the calming powder first and then in time maybe you can go to another mix and just add calming in.
My little sister is a supplement skeptic as well, and the two times she let her mare run out of her THE blend, she slowed down a few tenths. Started her back on it and she sped back up to where she needed to be. IDK what it does but you literally can tell a difference when she lets it run out and doesn't tell anyone to buy more. |

The THE Calming Cookies are great! They stay focused and it does not take the run out. |
