Straight Shooter Posts: 5725 Location: SW North Dakota	I've had both. The LM has more "rock" to the bars and tends to fit closer right under where your thighs lay. The TS has a "flatter" bar and, for most horses, the bar will make equal contact all the way down the horse's back. From experience, the LMs work good on a horse that has larger shoulders, decent withers and a hollow spot behind the shoulder/wither. I'd have to say the TS would fit a larger demographic of backs, maybe aside from the group that's better in the LM.

You'll probably really like the TS wide. I have one in a 14.5" that fits my daughter's mare (stocky with wide, flat back) perfectly. I'd part with it, as it's too wide for my LSOF.
