Paul Humphrey puts on a very good clinic that really focuses on horsemanship. Very personable and lots of great drills that you can you can use on all level of horses.

Dena Kirkpatrick does a really nice clinic that advanced riders can benefit from. She is doing several in Texas this fall with Ian Francis and I hope to get there to do a nutrition segment for her.

I went to a Kristin Weaver-Brown clinic last year and really liked it. She was to the point-but very encouraging which works with my personality. My horse and I went from running in the 4D to running in the bottom of the 1D/2D. I am actually headed to the advanced clinic in a few weeks. I think finding a clinician that fits your style is so important! Kristin's teaching and training style really fits the natural style of my horse.

I have also been to the Josey's and they were excellent for a beginner type clinic to get my feet wet. But I really liked more one-on-one instruction if I am spending that kind of money.

I would highly recommend Kristin Weaver-Brown. She rides every horse too!

The cost of clinics these days has gone through the roof.Way beyond actual value of what you get.  You are much better off, cheaper and ALOT more bang for your buck if you pick someone you really want to ride with and go spend a week one on one. MOST will do this and you are light years ahead. Going to a clinic for $500 - $800 for a 2 day clinic that you will get about a hour of actual focused time just does not pencil out.

I went to one of Joy Cameron's 40 and up clinics. I really learned a lot! She rode everyone's horse and made a barrel run on them. We also got a chance to ride her horse and feel what she was talking about on how a horse should collect correctly. She is a very good and positive speaker and makes you feel right at home. My daughter went to Fallon Taylor for a private lesson with a horse that she was having an issue with. Fallon showed her some exercises to work on, she also made a run on her horse. My daughter loved it and really wants to go again. Best thing is, she no longer has that issue with her horse!
