| In an interview just before the NFR, Jackie said that she kept 40 bits in her trailer and sued all of them. she was not specific as to which bit she actualy ran in. |

She sounds like me
I did a google image and looks like she has one of those Elliott bits on in one picture. |

Location: Somewhere around here | Yeah I was reading the Barrel Racing Report from the NFR last year and she said that she use Dave Elliott bits in general, except she used a different one for Jet. |

Location: MN | From what I can tell she mainly rides him in gag bits. I believe the last run I watched she was running him in a "No Hit" type of bit. |

| I run him in about 5 different bits. Been running him in the 266 lift bit by L&W with a square mouthpiece lately, all of them are somewhat similar to that. Ran him in the no-hit a few times but he got a little too strong.

Hey thanks a bunch for replying back about this! Sadly the same happened with my horse and my no-hit bit. I'll have to look up the 266 lift bit by L&W with a square mouthpiece and bits similar to it.
If I may ask, what helps you decide on what bit from the 5 that you choose to use on a certain day or run; arena size, ground conditions?
Thanks again for replying back! |

What I thought that you really loved how the No Hit bit was working on your horse.. On your thread that you made about the No Hit you were saying how good it was working for you and your horse, glad you said something here about it, you should do a update on your thread.. |

You're right I should, and I'll do that right after this :) I'll go into detail about what's going on with it and my horse |

| Hey y'all, I'm back lol
In answer to how I choose my bit it's usually how he's been riding or how he warms up. If he's strong I'll him in one with a little more bite. If he's really backed off I'll run him in a lighter one so I don't get on his head. Also depends on how big/small the arena is. Bigger, bigger bit. Smaller, less bit.
In answer to my thoughts on the no hit bit. I LOVE it. Just didn't really work on him. That's all I run Faminator in and use it for tuning others quite often.
Thank y'all for the kind compliments. It really means the world to me and is much appreciated after a year full of struggles right now! |
