I would do what streaky socks reccommended, i bought one started a year ago last summer, usually start mine myself,i was having a lot of problems streaky socks reccommended getting him broke in the hip and boy did it make a world of difference just getting him broke, i had never been taught hip control, thanks so much streakysocks advice appreciated.

Just a thought, but maybe you can get with her old owner, or whoever trained her, and ride some. It might just be that you can do one or two things a little differently and she will respond.

When I used to actually train my own barrel horses, about 40+ years ago, I learned if you have a problem that you cannot fix, find a person that can fix it. I found that two weeks with a good trainer fixed my little problems. Bigger problems take longer. I just send mine to a trainer now and let them start them and finish them. It is so nice to be able to climb on a well trained horse and go. Worth every penny. Also, when I am having issues myself, I don't have to worry about horse problems and can concentrate on fixing me.
I might add that 40 years ago, I was the one to beat. Not any more!!! Just can't ride like I used to.
