Location: Missouri | What kind of results are you seeing by using equisure . I have a horse that gets nervous at the bigger shows. Will almost refuse the gate and the holding pens are really hard on him but i am sure my nerves don't help the situation. I use ulcer guard a couple of days before hauling and throughout the time we are gone. Any suggestions or expierence with equisure would be welcomed. |

| Have you checked the ulcer points to see if he has ulcers? He is dreading something. This can be caused from pain. If he has.ulcers, his stomach is burning, causing pain, so he is.not wanting to run. Is he a bleeder? This can cause the issues you are having.

Location: Missouri | Been vet checked by 2 different vets. No problems. I use ulcer guard just as a precaution for the nerves. Maintenance is always up to date. Hocks are injected regularly.

Location: Northeast SD | Have you talked to vet about how you are using the ulcerguard? I've been told that it takes more than a few days to start working so maybe it isn't working at the time it needs to when you are at a rodeo.... Just something that popped into mind as I was reading.
I have used equisure but I use it mainly for keeping them drinking on the road, which I believe it helps. I haven't had a situation like your and used it for that.
eta: Maybe try a calming paste such as Pozzi Relax or one of the others. I believe the Pozzi Relax has meds in it to calm to stomach as well.

Location: Hill Country of TEXAS!! | Ive used it on a nervous horse and it really does work. Almost too good on this horse! He lopes the pattern like hes in LaLa land.. I have also tried a 1/2 dose and hes not as calm but still wont clock like he normally does. Ive talked to alot of people who it works wonders for and it has not taken the run out of their horse like it did mine. Find someone who will give you a few syringes of it and try it out. Youll probably like it :) |

Location: run2win land | I use it all the time. Great results. Settles the horse but doesn't take edge off performance. It will help heal ulcers in front and hind gut. I feel that horses get a little stomach ache which impacts their attitude. My one horse had a real gate issue and is doing much better. The other runs half second faster when on it. when first using it I recommend using for 5 days straight just to get it thru their system. Then, I tend to use the night before a race and boost before warming up. At $2 a dose Its cheap enough to do that. I found it worked better than the relax at a fraction of the cost. |

Location: SW North Dakota | I first tried it 4 years ago, when a friend gave me several doses to try on my "worrier" gelding. I gave him 6ccs before I loaded him that morning, and he was 75% more relaxed. He didn't have ulcers. I've since learned the proper dosing, and still use it on all the rodeo horses on a 10cc/week basis. The only big difference I see is in the horses who tend to worry when hauled, and those 2 are consistently 75% or so improved on Equi-sure. Not sure what the magic is, but it's repeatable, so I keep doing it! :) |

 Own It and Move On
Location: The edge of no where | I like it. I'll generally give 10cc before I load in the trailer and another 10cc while I saddle. My horse is a HOT fire breathing dragon - (and yes, she's been checked out regularly by a great vet). This just helps keep her a bit more settled. |

| It's awesome!! Takes the edge off anxiety, and I have even used it to treat ulcers. Before I thought omeprazole was the only treatment, I was wrong :) I have extra on hand if you want to give it a try. Great for feed utilization, stress/changes, weather changes, keeping them eating and drinking |

| I have wondered about it but it is corn oil and has soy as well. My only really nervous horse does not do well on any soy products so I have never tried it. I am curious about other peoples experience with it as I see so many who use it. |

| I was also concerned about the corn oil, but I decided at 10cc total, there wouldn't be enough of it to do any harm. I don't have a horse that has problems with soy, though. It really helped my horse with his mind and ability to withstand the heat better this summer. He doesn't have anihydrosis, it is the opposite- excessive sweating and grumpy attitude. He seemed a lot more comfortable in the heat and had a lot better attitude. |
