We would love to see every barrel racer wear a tag to honor a fallen solider. The program is starting with the top 15 but with some work and a plan we think we can reach thousands of racers!
Is this your ideal Gail? This is such a wonderful way to Honor them all that fought for our Freedom..

RE: 2nd Lt. Tracy Lynn Alger Fallen Hero
"Mom"
I started the Heaven's Heroes program in 2011 after the Seal Team Six crash where we lost two military friends. It was a program where I took children of fallen soldiers to MLB games
(using a few MLB connections
) to meet and hang out with MLB players. I had to put it aside for awhile because it took a chunk out my heart researching and dealing with so much sadness. Since my son serves I have had to really toughen up and the tag program came to me when he gave me set of his tags to wear. I rarely take them off, they make me feel close to him. So I starting thinking what if we made tags for the fallen as a way to honor them and their families. Stevi Hillman and Team McLeod got on board along with others and hopefully this program will continue to grow. Rick is going to build me a data base to track of the program and we will see what happens. I can only imagine thousands of barrel racers wearing military tags with the names of The Fallen to honor their sacrifice.
?Sage Kimzey is wearing the tags Special Forces Green Travis Hunsbergers tonight. Travis was the son of my husbands dear old high school friend. Travis was KIA 8 years ago. Sage is taking Travis for an 8 second ride
( oh yeah
) tonight and his family will be watching and cheering from their home in Indiana. So that is the rest of the story.....
Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

Roxie actually I am not awesome
(just ask my husband
)
The warriors that fight for us are awesome. The Special Operations Forces and the Special Forces are my personal heroes but everyone who serves deserves our gratitude. The ones that deploy in dangerous zones and go into battle thinking only of their country have received a higher calling. I really believe that. Read the bio of Tracy Algers. A few days before she was killed she wrote her family stating she knew of the danger of her mission. But she didn't complain and she lead the way into a death trap. We can't forget her and the thousands like her. Say their name, write their name and remember the sacrifice.
?OK that was sermon. Sorry. :

I agree very much in what you say in the men and women that are serving and have sacrifice their lives for the United States.. My great Aunt was a flight nurse and her husband that she met while serving {Smitty} flew bombers, she and her husband were so special, I got lucky as my grandmother {her Sister} lift me all of her pictures of her and Smittys wedding and pictures in their uniforms, they were awesome and I have some of her Flight pins. I treasure these pictures and pins..
I still say your awesome for getting this program going..

Yes.
?The top 15 all have tags of a women KIA, our brave women warriors who sacrificed the ultimate for their country.    Sage Kimzey is also wearing the tag our dear friends son - Travis Hunsberger. Travis was a Green Beret and only 24 when he was KIA. Lulu he grew up in Indiana like yoo! His Dad is a cabinet maker in Wakarusa Indiana.  Â
?Merry Christmas everyone and thank you NFR girls for cooperating in the program.Â
This is the coolest thing---what a wonderful idea. And I agree you're awesome---you got special stars where it counts on this one
