| It's military night at the NFR.
I'd like to personally thank all the barrel racing finalists for taking a moment tonight to wear the dog tags of women soldiers who died while serving our country. I know it means alot to connect in this way to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The parents and families who have suffered this loss love to see others recognize their sons, daughters or spouses - and remember who they were. They are all Heavens Heros.
There's more on "Barrel Horse World News" facebook and much appreciation to our Barrel Horse World special reporter at the NFR, Katelyn McLeod, who put these special tags and envelope into the hands of the finalists, which in itself was often an emotional moment.
And a special shout out to Sage Kimzey, who will be carrying the tags of Special Forces SST Travis Hunsberger, the son of some very special high school friends of mine in Goshen, IN. Sage - Thanks.

I got tears in my eyes when I watched her, she was breathtaking. Seeing someone that is serving our country sing our anthem and knock it out of the ballpark, WOW. |

| I was a little bummed there was no mention of the dog tags on the national feed. Donnie Gay said something about Sage McKenzie riding with dog tags but but no one said anything about the barrel racers. Or at least nothing that I heard. |

I was waiting for the talk about the dog tags too and kinda bummed that there was not much said , but still a great thing that they are/were doing for all our fallen soldiers last night, when a barrel racer was coming down the ally I was trying to see if I could see any dogtags, sure was hoping to see some
