My mare was diagnosed with kidney stones in May of 2014, ultrasound is pretty much the only way to get a true diagnosis I believe for that. You could get a blood test and have Creatitine and Bunn Levels tested, that would tell you whether there was an issue with the kidneys not functioning properly. We put my mare on ENC kidney herbs, her next ultrasound 6 months later showed she had passed or dissolved 4 of the 6 stones found in the earlier ultraounds. What are your horses symptoms?

My mare is 6. She has creatine levels of 6, even after giving her fluids. Other than that she looks like a perfect horse. I just cant figure out what it is caused from.

So why did she needs fluids and a blood draw? What was it you were looking for ? 6 seems VERY high. CC's are high normal and I believe were 1.7, 2.2 I think is the low of the "high range"...again, I'm trying to remember from her last test off the top of my head.
Anyway, that being said my first instinct would be to get either ENC Kidney Herbs or Silver Lining Kidney Herb, I used the ENC on CC. With her we knew she had the stones so I dosed her 2x a day for the first 4 months as well as added Apple Cider Vinagar to her diet, no alfalfa, no beet pulp and use caution in your use of NSAIDS. I am not a vet, this is just the protocol we used on CC after the vets handed me the lead rope back and told me to put her down when the pain got too bad. That was 2.5 years ago, 6 months later her ultrasounds showed 4 fewer stones, her creatitine levels dropped to within the "norm" range and have held for those 2 years, we've had a few scares here and there , typically with extreme weather changes or if for some reason she misses a few doses of the kidney herbs.
