| I am looking for companies other than Corriente that make a quality trophy saddle on a budget. We are hoping to give a boy's and girl's saddle this coming year at our rodeo in September. Any other companies you all recommend?

Location: SW North Dakota | We have bought cactus saddles through a dealer for about $1000. We've also tried Masters Saddles about 7-8 years ago that were decent for the money... Corrientes aren't that bad- my daughter won one, and at least its usable.
The first saddle she won, she was SO excited about, but it was so junky, we'd never put it on a horse. Please don't give the dirty-cheap ones away. I wish she would have won a back-on-track blanket or something usuable for the $400 they spent on saddles. Such a waste! :( |

We aren't discounting Corriente by any means. I actually like their saddles for the money and ride several. We just want to see what else is out there. |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Check into the Double J Trophy saddles, I think Courts does trophy saddles. Teskeys does custom awards and saddles too.

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Teskey's has 3 different options for trophy saddles as far as price and quality go. They have unlimited options in either price range. Call them! (817) 599-3400 |

Location: USA | I won an Alamo "certificate" and was able to order the saddle how I wanted. I haven't recieved it yet so I have no idea what the quality is like. |

| Double J certificates are significantly discounted. But not cheap by any means. Maybe Alamo or Shiloh? |

| If you know anyone in the Greenville, Tx area, it is the saddle making capital of the world. There are numerous families in the area that build saddles and have for several generations. Several of them build saddles for big name brands and then they just stamp their name on them. Some of the makers that have been mentioned in this thread sub-contract to them then nearly double the price to their customers. |
