Yes they use tortillas
Below is a cheeseball that I really love. It is kinda unusual and has some spice to it. I work in the family catering business and it is a popular cheeseball. The turmeric is in the spice section of any decent supermarket.
Mexican Cheeseball
2 8oz blocks cream cheese - softened
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp cilantro
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 teaspoon minced garlic (jarred is fine)
1 TABLESPOON chili hot sauce - I use Saracha ( Walmart in the Mexican section)
Mix all ingredients. Line a small bowl with clear wrap and fill it with the cheeseball mixture. Chill for a couple of hours or overnight. When ready to serve, invert the bowl on a plate and peel off the clear wrap. Lightly sprinkle with a mixture of cilantro and red pepper flakes. Go easy on the red pepper flakes unless you want it REALLY spicy. This keeps well in the fridge. Can be made well ahead of time. | |

yep! I buy the Burrito size ones. spread the mix, roll it up, then I put them in the fridge for a couple hours to set up, and that makes cutting them easier.
