| Hmmm. I have ridden a lot of Streakin Six horses that were not the least bit spooky or watchy and also Jet of Honors. Two of my fav bloodlines over the years. However from my own observations and what people have told me the A Streak of Flings tend to be a bit spooky and snorty though they make great barrel horses once you get them past that. |

Location: God's country | I'm not sure where my filly's watchiness is coming from. She's a daughter of Slick By Design out of daughter of Toast To Dash and Rare Form mare. She's crazy athletic but very reactive to things. For example, she and my other 2 yearlings are pastured with 2 cows. Every afternoon when those 2 cows come up to eat she acts like she's never seen them before and they are surely going to eat her, LOL. If you do something out of the ordinary or move real suddenly you definitely get a reaction from her. On the flip side, she's incredibly smart, sweet and athletic. I've started spending a lot of time taking her out and walking her exposing her to new things. Hopefully, it will work. |

I've had a lot of cowbred horses and I'd have to say in my experience/opinion I would say the Two Eyed Jacks have had the spookiest personalities but have Been super smart. Just more looky, spooky on trails or new places but never cease to do their jobs.
The quietest horses I've had have been streaking six horses.
TEJ horses have always been super stubborn for me. Smart but stubborn. Not dealt with the spooky nature, if anything they had no fear and were not afraid of start a battle.
I had a horse triple bred go man go who was fragile minded. He also had a rough upbringing so hard to know if it was nature vs nurture.
My Two Eyed Jack mare (who is double bred TEJ top and bottom ) is very mellow on the ground and in your pocket. She wants to please sooooo bad, but just wants to GO GO GO when you're on her back because she is so anxious and no matter how much walking/bending/whatever you do, she thinks we need to ruuuuuuun.
I have a double bred TEJ who can be goofier than a loon on the ground and the safest place to be is on her back. She isn't hot at all. She is a great kids horse. Moved her grain bucket 10 inches to the right on Saturday and she stared at it for a full 5 minutes, and blew at it with her nostrils, before she'd walk up to it.
I've had 3 that were all weird in their own way, two were all go go go, high energy and very spooky on trails or at shows but smart as a whip and naturally athletic. Both of those mares are gone lol, the gelding I had for 7.5 years he was afraid of his own shadow but super honest and easy to train but he was a maternal grandson of rugged lark so he was super smart and now he's a 1/2D kids rodeo horse.

I'm with you quickdraw! I love both of those lines as well as Doc Bar/Docs Prescription and APHA Cherkoee Indian/Indian Music. They seem to have a good head on their shoulders. |

Docs Lynx. I have had 3 going back to him, plus been around more and they've all been a little fruity. Good, talented horses, but wiring was a little wonky :)
this!! Nice riding horse but always spooked at things! |

Jet Of Honor - know a few that are super flighty but boy, do they cut the clock off.Β Gay Bar- Ive been around several and know many people who say the spookiness is bred into them but nonetheless, very talented. Β
I had a maternal granddaughter of JOH and she was sooo very fragile minded. Had so much talent, heart and try but I could not keep her mind in the right place for the life of me.
I have a Jet of Honor daughter and she was solid as a rock as a competitor. Nothing phased her.
I also have a JOH granddaughter and she too is a very solid focused horse. |

| I've heard Strawfly Special... I have a grand daughter that fits this description, but she is super athletic. She will spook at a porta-potty or garbage bag on the way to the arena at a rodeo but once we are in the alley she's all business. |

She was Strawfly Special on top; maybe it came from there. Wonderful riding horse at home but I spent years trying to season her and she could not handle it. She is now a 70 year old lady's everyday horse and she adores her. I'm glad she is well cared for and happy. |
