Elite Veteran Posts: 696	I have always said I don't believe in coincidences. Everything happens for a reason or is a sign. Well as much as I have been missing barrel racing lately (i have been out since i got pregnant 4 years ago) and wishing my mom could have been at my college graduation this past weekend (she passed away in 2012 and was my biggest barrel racing fan. She never missed a race and loved riding with me)... For the closing speech at graduation of all the things the speaker could have said, her story was about her riding a horse. I knew right then that mom was there with me. Then the lady says the words "there is a horse in everyone's future". Of course she meant it metaphorically but I know how those words were meant for me to hear. Then walking around downtown in Natchitoches after graduation there were horses and buggies passing us all night. Then we run into a friend that i have barrel raced with for years. Then on the way home after driving for about an hour we stopped at a random store for snacks and there she was again!! All i could think is "ok mom and God I get the message. I WILL find a way to start riding again!!!" ????????

Veteran Posts: 103	If we are obedient to God, then we can say things that happen in our lives are a part of Gods plan. Romans 8:28 For we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those that are called according to His purpose. And how does he know we love Him? We keep his commandments. So if we are making a conscience effort in all ways to keep his commandments and be obedient to his word, it can be said God is working in our lives. But if we search our heart and find any intentional, unrepentant sin, then stop the sin, ask forgiveness and repent. Then and only then, can we be sure that God and not us are in control of our lives. Live for Him.
