| Hello Everyone,
I have always wanted to run a Dash For Cash horse, my previous horses were all a mix of cow bred Zan Parr Bar, Two Eyed Jack etc along with some racing blood Azure Te, Beduino, Three Bars etc.
This gelding I am looking at has grandsire First Down Dash on top and Streakin Six as great grandsire underneath.
Has nice muscle, strong straight leg, good feet, level movement, long underline, deep girth, quick and snappy (would like a longer shoulder/hip and shorter cannons but I can live with that).
The one thing I am unsure of is his back, all my previous horses had a short, strong and straight back. This gelding has a decent dip from his shoulder. I am not sure if that is a big enough fault to not consider the horse or if it would cause issues down the road?

| Excellent choice. You do need to make sure that the horse is broke and works with his feet up under him before you ever start him on barrels. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | Okay, in regard to your question on the back issue. Looks like he obviously has high withers and maybe a slight sway back. He can still compete for a while with that though long term he may break down sooner. They have special pads for higher withered horses that may help you. |

Location: SW North Dakota | It doesn't look like he's standing completely square on level ground in the bottom pic, and IMO, the drop behind his withers might look worse because of the way he's standing on his front legs. I'd venture a guess he'd look more conformationally correct if he was fed up and conditioned. |

| Personally, I like the guy. I would have his back checked for kissing spines but do not think that is a problem. My 1D horse's back looks like that. He does have kissing spines but it has to be from an injury because he also has an old broken rib. |

| He is a very quick griddy gelding. He reminds me a lot of Fallon Taylor's babyflo mare, which is why he caught my eye. I have not yet purchased him, but overall everyone seems to like him so I will probably proceed with the sale. He is 15.1 and full of **** and vinegar which i personally love in a horse. He had a short racing career and won $25,000 in 250-300, he is just too much for the current owner that prefers a push horse. I think he will just need a lot of slow work, conditioning and a good feed schedule, but will be a nice little barrel horse. 1D fingers crossed! I will look into his back a little more also. |

Good luck with him---my big sorrel gelding is bred alot like that. Loved him since I first put my eyes on him. . . . |

Location: Kansas | I see a lot to like about this guy starting with the low knees and hocks which is one of the first things I notice. He appears balanced and the low back is nothing to worry about. I had one like that and you just had to use blankets or pads that conformed to his back which are no problem to find. Short back and long underline is what's considered ideal and his back is a little long but they do tend to be smoother riding. Where ya gonna find a "perfect" horse.
