RE: I know this has been discussed before...ways to make extra money?
Maybe something seasonal?
I've been working weekends at our local ski resort in the snack bar. Its only from mid-December through February and I can't do much riding anyhow this time of the year so I figured why not try to make some extra money. It does not pay much but after the 10 week season I should have about $1000 put away. It's not a lot but that will get my season started! I do have to say though it's exhausting! I go non-stop for 6 hours and by the time I'm done my feet are killing me!

Iām thinking about starting a small tack cleaning venture. I reached out on a few local groups about it and got a good response. I also plan to go to a tack swap in a few weeks and see how many distressed old headstalls I can find for cheap cheap, clean and resell.

I work full time at a sale barn as the Office Manager. The old owner does country sales that I help clerk throughout the year. We do 2-3 a year at about $250 a pop.
We also have a small snowplowing business. We have 3-4 bigger accounts plus some smaller driveways. This week my husband was out of town so I was on my own plowing. Started at 4:30 so I could get to my regular job on time. I haven't ridden since October but I figure if I can get some money put away so I can go a little more this year it doesn't matter.
My husband has also been a hay broker for many years, this year I took it over. It is a bit of an investment at first but come spring I hope to have enough to buy me a broke prospect. I also hope to carry hay all year long to keep some money flowing in. That is something we have never done so I hope it turns out good.
I could also take in some outside horses but it has been so cold, even though we have an indoor that I do not want to ride right now.

I started a jewlery business about 7 months ago. Its going pretty well. It is a side gig and requires several more hours of work during the week but its enjoyable.
