I have a pair of Martha Josey braided knot reins I ride in during the week. I also have a cheap pair of split reins I ride in at home sometimes and have been my favorite for as long as I've had horses and known the difference in split and single reins.
My running reins come from the ReinMan in TX. His leather reins with braided leather are my absolute favorites! Only reason I only compete in those is cause they are at my competition length and I don't want to move them.

Suede wrapped leather reins-love them.  They "stand up" a little and if you loose your rein they are easy to get back.

The leather laced reins from www.shallowcreekbits.com are awesome.  Plus the price is great $49.00 shipped.

I'm super picky about reins. They can't be too light or flimsy in my hands. This Christmas I got my mom a pair of round reins from West Coast Tack. They're blood twist 3/4" harness leather with really nice JW hardware. Cost $89 but the feel and quality is absolutely awesome.

Very old Ed Wright leather laced.  I bought them at a clinic 19 years ago.

I have Ed Wright leather reins with NO snaps. Love them and can't stand the feeling of snaps jingling around. I also have a pair of heavy waxed reins I used on a certain horse. Just like they way he felt in them better than leather ones.

Twenty year old Joseys. I bought a new pair and they're not as good. Apparently I only like those because they have twenty years of sweat and dirt ground into them.

Ooh and I bought some giant thick braided reins from Mainer-racer. LOVE them to work in.

Leanin Pole Arena in Killdeer, ND. Google them or FB Jackie and she'll hook you up.
