I want to be able to get up and outta my saddle. Don't want to be trapped.

5'6 125lbs I can fit in a 13.5 but I don't see how people ride in those without being thrown forward in the turns

I think a lot also depends on your height and leg/femur length. I'm 5" with short legs and riding in a 14" makes me feel like I'm a little kid sitting in too big of a chair. The seat/stirrup ratio is off and I can't ever get it to feel right. A 13" feels much better and a 12" feels like home lol :)

Location: Montana		I tried a 15" The Proven and I was swimming in that saddle, went down to a 14" Courts and felt a whole lot more secure, but I do get thrown forward a little (it could be the horse, she is really ratey). Now I'm looking for another saddle for another horse...not sure what seat size I should be. Interesting answers...most people ride a lot larger saddle than I would have though.

Location: North Dakota -> Colorado		I ride in a 13.5" Three Forks Merill barrel Saddle. I absolutely love it. They had a little size chart based on height and weight. I was originally going to get a 14" but after talking to them on the phone, I decided on a 13.5". I can still get my feet in front of and behind me if I need to. One thing, and I'm not sure if it is me or the saddle, but it feels like my left leg gets pushed forward no matter what direction we are going, however it is definitely more noticable to the right
