I'm in an extreme long process of fighting my mare with a saddle. I'm looking an allen ranch, but have never owned one. Looks nice, but I need to know how they fit horses? My mare is curvy with withers and a wide shoulder ??

If it's their tree, it's probably not going to work. The one I have for sale doesn't have much flare and is tight on my big shouldered gelding. It fits the flatter shouldered horses great.

I've owned several and really like them.
Allen Ranch makes a wide saddle.....

I have a 12" (for sale lol) that I love because it has wide flat bars that fits my big shouldered horses but it's too small for me. I use it on the stud too whos 16h 1200lbs and use a thick saddle pad! It seems to fit a variety of horses well

I've owned 2 (first one stolen).  I replaced it with another Allen Ranch Barrel Saddle.  I Love how they fit my horses and how they ride.  I've had other saddles but nothing fits or rides like my Allen Ranch.  My saddles have been on 4 different type of horses and the saddles have fit them all.  Good Luck !!

Vonda you wouldn't believe the experimentation that Stanley does with trees.... He has his original tree the AR1 ...the Flex Tree AR2  ....and the AR3 (modified cutter that he/we designed).  He has made a few different versions of all of them.  You almost have to ride one of his anymore to know whether you're going to like it.  I don't like the Flex Tree at all for me, it's got two way rigging like a Sibley and doesn't let out long enough for me anyway, lol.

I just sold my Black AR1 today.  We still have Pj's 14.5" AR1 that I've been trying to talk her into selling.  I bought a roughout Robbie Phillips that I'm excited to try on Vinny.

The one I have is an older standard. So that would be the AR1 regular?  I knew they were building on a different tree to be like yours, but I thought that was a bob marshall?  Did they start making their own version?  The saddle I have fits my little round horse pretty well (wide would probably be better) but I need the seat to be bigger for the way it sits. I feel perchy.  My gelding with the big shoulders and wide loin, it doesnt work at all--he needs more twist and flare.
