We bought a house in Rathdrum, ID which is close to Coeur d'Alene. I have never lived there but have visited twice and think the scenery is breathtaking. Hubby lived there for a few years and misses it desperately, and that is why we have now bought a house there. lol What is the barrel racing scene like there or in surrounding areas? Any amateur rodeos? I haven't been riding a whole lot due to life circumstances, and where we live. I am ready to get back to riding once we get moved in and the snow melts off some. Won't be long before I get the urge to start competing again.

I just had the brn4d pop in my head. Low and behold I will have more than enough races with their association to keep myself busy for the rest of this year. Still would love to hear from anyone in the area who might be able to give me even more info.

you are moving to a good area - very close to Spokane and lots of races, plus many other horse activities in the area.  A good friend lives in Post Falls and runs barrels too.  We are in NW MT so not too far away.  There is a big Omoksee in CdA in June also if you like gaming at those.

I'm from south of Spokane. Brn4d is my go-to source so that's great that you already found it. Twin Willows (Deer Park), Colfax, Lewiston and Moses Lake are the ones that come to mind. If you want to keep super busy and don't mind hauling farther you can head to Tri Cities and Walla Walla.

Thank you! I was originally a little apprehensive that I was moving to an area that would really limit my being able to compete without hauling a long ways. It appears that I am going to have more than ample opportunity to get my feet wet again. So excited! Whereabouts in MT are you? I have a cousin just outside of Helena.

Thank you for your response. I was up a little late Google mapping the BRN race schedule last night. More than enough going on to keep me busy. I have heard nothing but good reviews for the BRN, so I am looking forward to attending some of their races.
