Are you referring to a Sweet Six snaffle bit??
If so, Fallon has a few of these made each year ... call her store
You will probably find these in only 3/8 smooth and 3/8 smooth twisted wire.
Learn how to use this or you will have a head flipping horse ...
it is all in the hands and lifting up one rein at a time for your control ..
************************************************
She also uses the Jim Warner hack with a soft fit on the chain ..
with shank guards .. to keep a flipped rein from getting tangled up
Starting colts .. she uses the Loomis gag bit ... |

| If you're talking about the one she's got on her in her cover photo on Facebook, it's not a sweet six, it's just a locked ring snaffle. L&W makes them and you can choose the mouthpiece. You can get them with just the mouthpiece locked or with a second ring to lock the rein as well. |

I have several of them in different mouth pieces and they are my favorites! Shallow Creek made a modified version of one for my good horse when he needed just a little more--adding a headstall/chin chain ring, and a second small ring for the rein clip. I have two of them and most of my horses end up running in it. |

This one is my fav of the Carolina snaffles. I also have it in a copper wrapped lifesaver and a regular smallish smooth mouth.
And this is the custom but that was designed by the gal that trained my horse, made by Shallow Creek. I've had him make me a second one and both my current horses are running in it.

In general how do you think your horse rides around with this? (Is it for the softer mouthed or harder mouthed, etc) I'm presuming not much lift? |

My horses are all very soft faced and broke in their poll and body. I'll own it and admit I'm a snob and will get all my horses to ride in a ring bit. I hate big bits. The second bit and a jr cow horse or simplicity gag are the meanest bits I own and intend to own.
It's got a decent amount of whoa and lift...for a broke horse. I have never tried to run one in it that wasn't soft, so I can't really answer that. I have one now that gets pretty short in his turns, and I can hold him up in it easy. My good horse has A TON of run, and a bad habit of dumping his shoulder on first, but I have enough I can keep him off of it--but better yet, if I have my head on straight, I have enough I can keep him up and not let him dump, but he's finger tip broke as long as I stay ahead of him. I have run him in the first bit in a pinch-- it's a little scary, but not impossible.
This is the horse that anticipates his turn. I love this boy on him over the ring bit or simplicity. He is a noodle neck in a ring, but doesn't like the simplicity. Fingertip broke. But, he's been blown up before and I like that I can get a hold of him if I need to.
