Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | I am giving myself one more year to make this mare a priority and then I am wanting to breed her while she is still young and I can bring her back easily. http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/im+still+special
We are friends with the people that owned Roosters Fame before he passed away and I have always loved him. But, I have always love Lions Share of Fame as well.
If you had to choose one of these two DTF studs to cross on this mare, which one would you choose? Based on pedigree alone.

I have 2 LSOFs and LOVE THEM both. The horse in my avatar (are we still calling those little pictures avatars?) is by LSOF out of an App Packin Sixes mare. He's also a bang up head horse and pretty freakin' tough ranch horse. Such a chill, dorky personality. I just love him.
My other one is only coming 3, but already a pretty good ranch horse (on limited employment because of his age). He acts like a fire-breathing dragon on the ground and in the pasture, but saddles up and goes right to work with no BS. Pretty excited about doing more with him this coming summer. He's a palomino full brother to Frosted Shares. Part of me thinks I should sell him, because I'm not going to futurity him. I doubt I will. He also has a fun personality and he's going to be big and pretty. I'll see if I can shrink some pics of him.
Bottom line: I'm a huge LSOF fan. Huge. |

| That's tough, I LOVE LSOF and remember seeing him compete. So well minded and so naturally athletic. I don't know enough about Roosters Fame but who doesn't love Dial a Red Rooster. So in other words, I am not much help. |

Location: SD | LOVE my Roosters Fame baby. He is 7 this year and out of an Assured Pleasure mare. If I hadn't lost his mom, I would have another Rooster baby. I've had a lot of success on him and he placed at a number of futurities and derbies in the Midwest. He's very smart, kind, hard working and friendly. He did have a number of DTF qualities when he was in training but he is outgrowing them. I threw a hack on him for our second run at a derby this past fall and he never missed a beat and placed. I would like to get another one someday. |

Location: Not Where I Want to Be | There is a less than zero chance you won't be able to access Rooster baby batter.
There is a limited amount of frozen and they are very stingy with it. Rightfully so

We are very good friends with them and actually bought the mare we are wanting to breed from them. This mare was supposed to be in the broodmare band before Rooster died. I have already spoken with them about breeding her. |

| I dont think you could go wrong either way. There are 2 Roosters that run local and they are both super nice horses. And King is pretty amazing. I think if you have the oppurtunity to breed to Rooster I would take it before there is no more frozen though. And then go for a LionCub next. :) |

| If the Roosters Fame breeding is hard to come by, that would be a no brainer decision for me! |
