I have heard the concept behind Hidez is similar to swaddling a baby. I can't remember the last time I saw a mare swaddle her foal, though.
I think this makes the most sense. I just don't understand how it's suppose to do what the company claims. Seems to be yet another gimmick to take people's money. |

Location: Northwest | I had two mares leave today and the gelding that was next to them ran around bucking and screaming when they left. He wouldn't calm down so I put his Hidez mask on (He is a laid back dude and I have it for his poll issues) he instantly started licking his lips and quit running. He is now standing with a leg cocked and his head is dropped. That being said, I've used it on my young filly while hauling and she was still pawing like a lunatic in the trailer, didn't help her one bit.

please post if this works for your cribber. I am interested also but don't want to waste money |

Location: So. Cali. | I purchased a hardly used one....thus far not impressed. Mainly wanted it for my mare who has TMJ issues and tilts her head...Tried it in the round pen first and thought it helped, but with continued use it does not. Tried it on a trail ride last night, still pranced home. Not sold on it.... |
