Location: The best kept secret in TX | My SO's friend got the news early this morning that his dad won't be coming home. My SO took our drone out to help find Brandon's Dad, Jim about three weeks ago. We helped search the woods where we thought he may have headed after eating that day. Hoping to find his truck in the woods with him hunting on his property. We looked for hours. We flew that thing everywhere trying to help the officers look. Sonar found his truck submerged on the south side of Eagle Mountain Lake in Azle Texas. Prayers for my SO, his Family, as well as Brandon and his family, would be greatly appreciated. I don't know the family very well but my SO knew the entire family very well. He woke me up early this morning to the news. http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Search-Still-On-For-Missing-Azle-Man-414199143.html

Thanks BINGO. I agree, lots of sad news. We may need to start a happy thread after these last few weeks. |

| How sad. I would think it would make it worse not knowing how or why his truck ended up in the marina to begin with. Prayers for the family. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | If he was eating at an Italian place in Azle (Capriccios?) That's on FM730...and Reno (his home) is in the opposite direction of where they found him essentially. His family thought he was headed home after dinner. Just odd. And so very sad. I hope they can figure out what went wrong. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I'm a little teary eyed this morning. I read all the responses to my SO and he said thank you so very much!
Brandon told my SO yesterday he is speculating Jim Bob got jumped and the investigators are looking into those speculations.
Those of you who know the area know how rough certain parts can be. Especially around the marina... I told my SO I hoped that Jim was just going on a leaisurely drive around the lake and just had a heart attack or something that got to him before the water did... Is that horrible of me? SO said he suspected foul play. Especially after seeing the truck in the pictures. |

I don't think that's horrible of you at all. To want an "easy", painless death for someone is a pretty understanding and selfless thing to hope for. That would be easier to know than to think of the other reasons or ways he ended up where he did. Continued prayers for you guys and for the investigators as they work on finding out what happened. |
