| Has anyone had any experience getting fenders fixed? We just got a "new" to us used 4star trailer. The fenders are a little beat up on both sides, some dents, bends, and the curve to the back of the fender seems a little straight. We also would need some welding work where the back bumper piece attaches to the trailer. Has anyone done anything like this? What would this type of work typically cost?
I attached 3 pics, sorry if they quality isn't great!
**edited** I can't get the 3rd pic of the back bumper part to upload
but it looks like it will need bent back down and then about a 1-2 inch section welded.

Location: LA Lower Alabama | Looks like that trailer has blown quite a few tires. Will be very easy to buy new fenders but very hard to figure out if there is an issue causing the tires to have problems. |

| Thanks guys for the info! I wasn't sure how much of a major fix something like that would be. We definitely didn't want to put a lot of money into a cosmetic issue, so they may stay crinkled for a bit lol.
Also, in regards to the blowouts, there hasn't been a history of them that I know (previous owners are friends of ours and haven't mentioned it, but might bring it up to them). It is an older trailer, so hopefully it just years of use and hopefully not anything major! |

Location: Arkansas | Our trailer is a blow out king, and our fenders look like yours! We've changed some things so hopefully we won't be be having the tire issues now. Once we know that's ok, the fenders will get repaired. We have a wonderful body shop in town, and Sean is also an experienced welder. So I hope we have the bases covered! Good luck with your trailer, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we do ours. |

| Any Horse trailer dealer should be able to help you with service. I don't know where you are located but in Indiana Kerlin Trailers has a service dept that did a great job replacing fenders on my trailer this spring. |

| Thanks guys! We are in Ohio, so Indiana would definitely be doable. Was it in the $1000 per fender price range? I was hoping maybe we could get away with repairing the fenders we had, but it sounds like it will require completely new ones. |

^^^^ Exactly what I was going to say....LOTS of blown tires....I would be checking the frame to see it it is bent before I spent a whole lot of money putting on new fenders. |

We "remodeled" the existing fenders! Once we know if the blowouts are over, we can work on getting new fenders. |
