Just looking for feedback regarding whorl bone injections and recovery time. Also, would be interested in hearing your experiences with this procedure, did it make a difference? Thank you!

I had to give 14 days off. Then went right back to work. The two horses
( barrel and rope horse
) that we have had done we seen a huge difference.

Thank you! That's great to hear it made a huge difference! We just had a barrel horse done and my husband's heel horse a week ago, I was just wondering if light work would be ok after a week. Vet said 10 days stall rest, but I have heard different opinions about that.

I have only had one vet
(who comes from out of state
) ever recommend injecting whorl bones. A friend of mine had her horse done and I think it was 14 days off as well.

Makes a big difference in my 17 year old mare. She will quit setting up for a turn when she needs hers injected. Usually off for 3-5 days then straight line work for a couple days then back to work.

Usually your vet knows best.. I would wait at least the 10 days he told you. You won't regret it I promise.. Its hard to wait, but do it!! :

This is what she told me as well. Kathy is old school and knows her stuff! My vet here had me stay off 10 days.
