| I'm looking to buy a trailer for my wife to pull with her ford expedition. What are your safe suggestions? |

| I have a 1998 Sundowner 2 horse bumper pull. My parents bought it brand new and had a 1997 Expedition that they pulled it with (oddly enough, I own both of these now). I drive a GMC 2500 now (which pulls it like there's nothing), but the Expedition handles it well also. If there's a way for you to upgrade your mirrors, I would highly recommend doing that. That's my biggest complaint when using the Expo to pull - I can't seen anything behind me unless I'm going around a curve. We have trailer brakes installed on it and I've never worried about it stopping. |

| Thank you. I've been leaning towards an Easley or Hughes (14ft or 16ft) but not sure if the expedition can handle it. |

| Depends on the expedition. My 97 with the 5.4 and load level pulls close to 9k pounds. |

| It has the 5.4L. I have a gooseneck, but we need something for her to haul our daughters while I'm working. |

Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | I have a 2003 CM Norstar (now Cimarron) that I use for my run-around, pull it with my dually or my half ton Ram with a hemi. I LOVE it. I've pulled my mom's 2012 3 horse Cimarron with my half ton and it handled it fine, and I've pulled an older 2 horse Sundowner and HATED it. The 3 horse pulled better than the Sundowner. |

| I had a 2 horse Titan Avalanche I really liked if your budget isn't up to going aluminum. Sold it when it was 10 years old and only very very minor surface rust, I have seen them in the same shape twice as old. Pulled great with my F150 which also had the 5.4L in it. I believe the expedition is built on a 150 frame? I wouldn't think it would be a problem. |

I don't think you will go wrong with Easly or Huhges.
I had a Titan Avalanche also that I used to go back and forth to the vet and what not.
Owned it for 8 years and sold it for 3k less than I bought it new for.
Minor care and that avalanche is pretty solid trailer. |

Location: NC | I had a 2h custom fab that when we first got it pulled with a 1500 without a problem. Pulled it to tn from ny even. The guy we recently sold it to is pulling it with a mercedes suv. (which was scary to see!) |

| Look into the Titan Avalanche trailers as other have said. I also have one that we pull with a half ton chevy pickup and use as a run around trailer. It is about 5 years old, is sturdy, follows my pickup easily, and is much easier to use for quick trips to vets or what not when you don't want to pull a big trailer.
Titans are made well and seem to keep their resale value fairly well too.
Good luck. |
